Cleanse and Soothe Oral Mucosal Lesions with Gly-Oxide® Liquid Antiseptic Oral Cleanser
Gly-Oxide® Liquid Antiseptic Oral Cleanser, by GlaxoSmithKline (Research Triangle Park, NC), is a 10% carbamide peroxide solution with dual functionality as a proven oral debriding agent and wound cleanser for minor mouth lesions or gum irritations (see Table for common causes of mouth irritations). The formulation of Gly-Oxide is alcohol-free, and it provides oxygenation to help gently remove unhealthy tissue, cleanses and soothes canker sores, and kills odor-forming germs while preventing the spread of microorganisms. Gly-Oxide is also recommended for use as a daily oral cleanser to deep-clean gingival areas ordinary brushing can miss.
Table: Causes of Oral Mucosal Lesions
